Lipa Church of Christ Update:

Dear Brethren,
Greetings from the Philippines.
The Lord has been blessing our efforts to reach the lost. Last May 13, two souls were baptized in Lipa Congregation and on May 20, four more souls were also baptized in Sampaguita congregation. As we continue our regular Saturday yound people’s activity, our attendance is increasing. Some of the young people are bringing their friends with them to attend our bible studies. One of our young lady has started teaching the little children below ten years old. She now have a total of fifteen students. Our scheduled home Bible studies are still going on and one of them is very much interested.
I’d like to inform you that I’ll be teaching in a bible school to be started on June 18. The main thrust of this school is to train young men to be church planters. This will greatly help our area to plant more churches in the future. For the mean time, I’ll be spending one day a week in the school and devote much of my time in Lipa and Sampaguita congregation and sometime for Rosario church.
I need your prayers for my family who are still separated from me and most especially for the continuance of the work of the Lord here in our area.
May God continue to bless us all.

Moises

BATANGAS CHURCH OF CHRIST UPDATE:

Greetings in the name of the Lord from the Philippines. We are happy to inform the work here in the Lord’s body in Batangas. We successfully finished our VBS last month at the following venue:
Talaibon, Ibaan, Batangas
Tulay, Ibaan, Batangas
Sto. Nino, Lipa City, Batangas
Putingkahoy, San Juan, Batangas

Rosario, Batangas

We have 5 Baptism this month at Sampaguita Church of Christ with bro. Moises,
2 baptism at Lipa City Church of Christ and 3 at Rosario Church of Christ last month. We have ongoing Bible studies, as scheduled at Lipa, Rosario and San Juan with bro. Moises. The group of bro. Jun Patricio is opening a bible school in Dasmarinas, Cavite. I urged them to put one in our place, since it is my dream to have a Bible School in our place (Rosario, Batangas) and there’s a great need of this kind of school, mission minded school. They told me to look for a place and to look for students and they will teach there. Godwilling on June 25, 2007 Monday. The school will start, I gathered 11 students and found a place. We only need help in terms of finances. Please if you can extend some help for the school you are very much welcome. The name of the school is AICPCG ( Asian Institute of Church Planting and Church Growth). God bless us all!

In Christ,
bro. Jules
Muntinlupa church of Christ Update:

Time flies so fast it’s again the midst of June and there are always many things to plan and accomplish.
I hope that you are all doing well there with God’s blessings and guidance. The colleges and universities have now started their classes and you see traffic jam anywhere in Metro Manila.
We went to Bicol for the “First Bicol Youth Encounter” last May 27-31; this is actually a youth camp for the Bicol Region. It was attended by the new congregations in Legazpi city and Albay, including Daet and Daguit churches of Christ. It was hosted by Naga Church of Christ with the assistance of preachers from Olongapo, Baguio, Manila and Cavite. It was successful in encouraging the youth to be strong and faithful in their service to the Lord and two souls accepted the Christ through baptism. A lot of local Filipino games, singing and message filled the three day camp giving glory to the Lord.
June 4 – 13, I went to Singapore to attend the Singaporeans church’s camp which was held in Malaysia from June 6-9, then I spend a few more days in Singaporean brethren before finally going back to the Philippines. The theme of the camp was “Walking in the Light” base on 1 John 1:7. Soul searching messages were presented touching and reaching each attendees to live truly a Christian way of life. I gave a report about Muntinlupa church of Christ activities, its goal, plan and current activities to the brethren there. I was relaxed for a while, refresh and went back home energized ready to rekindle the fire for evangelism in my home congregation. Please see the attached picture of the camp in Singapore, I will try if I can get more picture of this camp and send it to you, so far I only have the group picture. I hope that someday you could also invite us to visit you there.
We are now going to concentrate in our work here in Muntinlupa with less out of town activities, its going to be a very busy season since it is the beginning of classes, and we hope and pray that many youth will respond to Christ this year.

In His service,
Greg

Marikina church of Christ Update:
Preaching the Word of the Lord is a privilege of all the Christians around the world. Preaching His precious Words to all creatures is serving the Almighty God, the Kings of all Kings.
The Gospel of God is the only power that we have in order to bring back the lost souls. By this, the family of God in Cubao and Marikina continued in heralding the Truth to all people.

TUTORIAL CENTER…

Tutorial Center is one of an effective tools in reaching the lost souls here in the Philippines. The Marikina Church started the free tutorial services under the voluntary tutorship of brother Mike Altariba. Parents around the neighborhood of Marikina Church enrolled their kids age 3 to 5 years old. Last May 8 brother Mike together with brother Danni conducted orientation for the kid’s parent about the rules and regulations of the tutorial center. There are now thirty one (31) kids ages 3 to 5 years enrolled at free tutorial school.
The aim of Tutorial Center is to teach kids how to read & write plus a subject of basic Math and Bible songs in order to prepare them for elementary school in the future. Another aim of the Tutorial Center is to encourage the parents to study the Bible and introduce to them the Church of Christ. All kids are active also on Sunday school; this is the time where they learn about the Word of God.

PARENTS BIBLE STUDY…
Brother Steve Sepulveda helps brother Danni teaching the parents every morning while they are waiting for their kids outside the chapel. The tutorial center helps the Marikina church reaching the parents and proclaims to them the good news of our Lord Jesus.

SUMMER BIBLE WORKSHOP…
Summer Bible Workshop was started last May 7 in Cubao Church of Christ. Sister Nancy used the Jesus Loves US module with ten lessons that discuss about God’s creation. There are fourteen (14) kids enrolled for the one month summer Bible workshop.

GRADUATION…
The parents of the kids were invited during their graduation last May 27. The kids receive school items upon receiving their certificate of completion.

BAPTISM…

As part of continuing effort in reaching more souls, two more souls were added by the Lord in the Body of His son Jesus. Carlito Dela Cruz and Sunshine Raguindin decided to be immersed for the forgiveness of their sins after series of Bible study with brother Danni de Vera. They are now faithfully worshipping the Lord every Sunday and continue to study the Bible. Sunshine voluntarily assists brother Mike at tutorial center every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

FAREWELL PARTY…
Sister Ging Rodes migrated to USA to be with her husband on the second week of May. Some of the kids surprised her with a song and arts during a farewell party given by the Marikina brethren. Sister Ging is an active Sunday school teacher that is why the kids love her so much. The Sunday school kids will miss her presence.
