Marikina and Cubao church of Christ Update:
"We have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith."

Sharing good things to neighbors and the less fortunate are one of the responsibilities of the true Church. Before the year ends, the Church in Cubao and Marikina do the works of Jesus in giving happiness to their neighbors.
The Church in Cubao and in Marikina are doing their very best to do well unto all men, especially unto the household of God.
N.E.W.S …
Last December 8 & 9, National Evangelism Workshop Seminar was held at Metro Manila Church of Christ chapel in Samar Avenue, Q.C. The brethren around Metro Manila and brethren from northern and southern part of the Philippines attended the two days workshop and seminar. This year theme "The Lesson and the Evangelist" was timely for the goal of Churches of Christ to bring the Body of Christ into next level. Each participant brought their own evangelism lesson that they are using in teaching the lost souls. The brethren were divided into five groups and on the spot they created a good lesson out of their personal evangelism lesson. The judges will then choose the best lesson to be used by Church of Christ
after it was delivered by a preacher. Brother Danni delivered lesson 1 the Bible and it was chosen as the best lesson 1. The third lesson, the Church created by brother Danni’s group was also chosen as the best lesson 3. There are four lessons (The Bible, The Fall of Man and Saving Grace of God, The Church in the New Testament and the State of Man) chosen by the judges that can be used in teaching the lost souls. The brethren prayed that God will bless every work of the Churches of Christ in the Philippines.
Alis lungkot…bigay saya at Cubao
The spirit of love abounds in the heart of the Cubao brethren in doing such program of giving happiness to the less fortunate people. Last December 17 after worship service they distributed goods and toys to all the kids. Brother Danni preaches about "Why We Need a Savior?" It was a wonderful feeling seeing the smile on their face as they receive the goods and especially the happy faces of the children upon receiving the toys. The brethren are hoping that they can encourage the parents to have Bible studies on their home.
Mailing evangelism at Marikina…
In Marikina the workers continue to reach the lost by doing the mailing evangelism system wherein they put leaflets and invitation for Bible studies at every house they passed. They prayed that more souls will respond on their effort to reach the lost souls.
ALIS LUNGKOT..BIGAY SAYA AT MARIKINA
It’s time for the Marikina brethren to praise and give thanks to our Almighty God for all the blessings they have received from above. Last December 21 the brethren invited all the kids around neighborhood as well as their parents to worship the Lord in Spirit and Truth. The guest speaker brother Limuel Lucena of Manila Church of Christ spoke about the "What is the True meaning of Giving thanks to God." After worshipping the Lord in Spirit and Truth, fellowship with meals followed. Then the brethren distributed goods to each family (74 families) and toys to every kid (170 kids), the brethren are so blessed in doing such good things to all men and see the joys on every faces of everyone. The workers will then visit every family they contacted on the first month of the year 2007. The brethren also give thanks to all the brethren who help this program in reaching the lost souls possible. They all knew that GOD will bless those who send their big help for doing this kind of charity works. Praise God!
YEAR end OVERNIGHT THANKSGIVING PRAYER…
In Cubao, as their preparation for another year of service, they held an overnight prayer with thanksgiving to the Lord. It was a night of strengthening the faith and edifying one another in prayer and devoting themselves in studying the Word of God. Brother Danni spoke about Pressing toward the Goal by being more evangelistic; he also conducted a workshop on how to strengthen the faith of one another. Brother Maurice also led another devotional and
he spoke about "What is the True New Year’s Resolution". Brother Joel and Steve conducted games at every interval of Bible studies to keep the brethren awake. It was a wonderful fellowship and the brethren give thanks to the Lord and prayed that the Spirit of God will guide and mold them everyday as they face another year of service.

Muntinlupa church of Christ Update:

Attached are some of the pictures taken last January 7, at Muntinlupa Church of Christ meeting place. Church's picture and some shots of the children and the youth.
Bicol region is one of the places that you are scheduled to visit when you get here. It's where Mayon Volcano is, a beautiful volcano which almost perfect cone but everytime it erupts leaves a devastating effect. After it erupted a few months ago, we had at least 3 consecutive typhoons which washed the lava and sand from its foot burrying many houses and others spared are half burried in sand and mud. I went with the Medical Mission there which was sponsored by the churches of Christ and the doctors treats many patients, we distributed blankets and mats for them and also gave food, while the preachers encourage them to be strong in their faith in Christ because our real hope is not earthly but heavenly.

Another year has ended and the Lord has opened a new one for us to continue to labor in His vineyard. Here is a brief review of the highlights of the previous work done in Muntinlupa Congregation:

Celebrated the fifth anniversary of the congregation in Muntinlupa January 1, 2006.

We had 11 souls who accepted Christ through baptisms. Diony Salagoste & Nida Asis 1-1-06, Jemelyn Segundo & Maria Fe Jane 1-29-06, Cassandra Masa & Christine Macayan 3-19-06, Jason Estsacio & Dan Apolonia 4-30-06, Ronald Padua 7-29-06, Juan Gutierez 8-29-06, Renaliza Deang 9-10-06.

Officiated four weddings.Diony Salagoste & Gina Asis 1-18-06, Randy Latag & Evelyn Geronimo 2-14-06, Gerry Geronimo & Maricel Arriola 4-27-06, Ronald Padua & Emma Domingo 9-16-06,
February 11, Saturday we conducted a door knocking campaign in Muntinlupa with the help of 7 nearby congregations (Makati, Pasig, Marikina, Pasay, Calookan, Las PiƱas, Cubao & Muntinupa). Our main objective is to get as many contact as possible for home Bible studies, along the way we also introduced Bible Correspondence course. As a result we’ve got 145 names for World Bible School correspondence course and 21 Home Bible Studies.

Spoke in different congregations: April 2 Baguio, May 7 Bicol, July 30 Baguio, Dec 24 Bicol. Delivered words of encouragement from the Holy Book, it feels good to be able to strengthen christians to continue their faithfulness to Christ and motivate them to work as a team for Christ.

Comforting the bereaving brethren who have lost their loved ones.
Strengthen the faith of the brethren in the hospital.
Some members in Muntinlupa participated in the annual Ladies Retreat hosted by Bohol congregations.

Sent the young people to the annual Youth Camp to deepen their faith. April 12-15 there were 24 youth campers of Muntinlupa who attended in Bugallon, Pangasinan. I spoke on the third day of the camp and I had a joyful feeling with the positive reactions on the campers, my topic was about “Overcoming Obstacles and Achieving Godly Goal”. It surely had an impact on their Christian lives, to be truly dependent on God, and to be example in their way of living as to their attitude, the way they speak, dress, and deal with people of different race and culture.
Attended participated at the Family Camp in Singapore and visited brethren in Malaysia.
Joined the effort of the brotherhood to help those victims of the volcanic eruption and three consecutive typhoons through Medical Mission.

Our goal for this new year is to convert more soul into the Lord, make the congregation grow spiritually and in number. We are also aiming for the church to have its own meeting place this year so that the church can have a permanent address for the meeting place and use the money for building rental into evangelism.

We hope and pray for your continued prayer and assistance until we can be on our own.

In His service,
Greg Q. Gallardo, Jr.

Wichita, Kansas Update:

Baptism:

We are praising the Lord for the decision of Joy Reneike to follow the Lord. She came to our Friday night Bible studies and she's a sister of a friend of mine. Mickey Saffell, our Friday night Bible teacher has a great influence on her. She invited her to come to Sunday morning services at Central church of Christ. They've been friends and talked some more about salvation. She dedicated her life to Christ on January 7, 2007 and was baptized by Rick Cline, a preacher at Central church. The Lord has plans for all of us and we can only spread the seed and let the Lord water it. The angels are rejoicing as many who are lost have been found.

Philippine Mission Team:

The Philippine Mission Team (less Gabriel Yankey who is still in Africa) with their families met at our house on January 23, 2007. We discussed the pre-departure plans, departure, and mission work that we'll be doing for 2 weeks while we're there. We also shared with them what to expect, the culture, and a little bit tutorial on the language. We also packed clothes, stuffed toys, materials, and "pasalubongs" (gifts) for family and friends. This will be an experience of a lifetime for all of us and we are excited to help out the Filipino brethrens while we're there. Please continue to pray as it will be less than 3 weeks from now before we leave. We'll have more pictures for you next time.
