Cubao and Marikina church Update:
"I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest." (John 4:35b). Planting the seeds of God’s Word to every heart of lost souls is a precious responsibilities and devotion in the Vineyard of the Lord. God needs more planters in order to bring much fruits.

Metro Manila Campaigns… The Church in Cubao and Marikina prayed together as they work hard in planting the seeds. They believe that God will water every seeds they planted.Another monthly Metro wide door knocking house-to-house campaign held at Las Pinas City. It was hosted by Church of Christ in Las Pinas. The brethren went two by two’s proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus to everyone in that part of Metro Manila. As the results, the Las Pinas brethren will need to follow-up the souls who show interest in studying the Bible and willing to worship the Lord every Sunday.
A monthly meeting of the preachers in Metro Manila was held after the lunch fellowship provided by the host congregation. The leaders discussed the upcoming National Evangelism Workshop Seminar on December. They all agreed to finalize the committee that will handle on specific task. The regular monthly agenda was also discussed by the leaders and talks more about developing every activity of the Metro Manila Churches of Christ. The leaders also try to figure out on how to encourage some of the preachers who are not participating in monthly activities in bringing the Churches of Christ into next level.
Bible Studies...Brother Danni started teaching the IBS course to some of Cubao brethren. The class started last September 6 and will go on every Wednesday afternoon before the midweek class. The course is designed for the brethren who wants to gain more knowledge and grow spiritually.
Brother Joel and Steve started the office Bible study in some of LOVE electronics branches owned by a brother in Christ. The have class every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
Brother Danni started new home Bible study in Quezon City. The class is held every Tuesday afternoon with three housewives studying the Bible with him.

I-Text Campaign…
The brethren in Cubao once again went to a busy streets of Cubao shopping area to distribute flyers of "I-Text Mo…Tanggap Mo" (Text your complete name/address and you will receive Free Bible lesson). It is one of evangelism works of the brethren here in Cubao and Marikina taking the advantage of technology thru SMS. People who receive the flyers and are interested to have the free Bible lesson reply thru SMS on their cell phones. There are souls who responded and they receive the lesson through personal delivery of the brethren. The brethren prayed together that God will bless their works and bring much fruits. They believed that their works are not in vain as God promised in the Bible. "IPIT" Evangelism Introduced…The brethren in Cubao and Marikina decided to do another method of evangelism in reaching the lost souls. It was called by brother Danni as "IPIT" evangelism. The system of "IPIT" evangelism will be done every Saturday morning at around 2 a.m. by brother Willie, an employee of LOVE Electronics Company. He will include the evangelism flyers upon inserting their company advertisement on Sunday newspaper before delivery to news stand in different places.

NEW BABES IN CHRIST…Five more souls were added by the Lord in His Church on the month of September. Last September 2, Vanessa and Eleanor Bacar decided to wash away their sins in baptism.
Last September 23, Nemia Alson, Maritess Gula and Marnelli Ducusin were immersed in baptism by brother Danni for the forgiveness of their sins. Brother Jess Montano helps brother Danni in teaching Nemia and Maritess every Sunday after worship service. Both of them are results of "I-Text Mo Tanggap Mo" evangelism campaign through constand sending of text messages by Danni. Nemia & Maritess attend Sunday services and study the Bible.
Marnelli Ducusin is a result of door knocking campaign in Marikina. She studied with Danni and Steve. She is now worshipping in Marikina . She was a former member of the Mormon church. The brethren are rejoicing for these new souls and pray that they will grow in their spiritual growth.

May our God bless us all as we continue planting the seeds of God’s Word in every heart of lost souls. Muntinlupa church Update: Thank you so much for your prayers James 5:16 tells us "...the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much".

Month of September was filled with good and sad experiences for us here but with God’s blessings and guidance we keep moving for His glory.

One of the oldest members of church in metro manila brother Serapio Bravo, 98 years old was hospitalized and his family requested to have worship service in the hospital including the other patients within the room was listening to the message from the word of God, he recovered and was back to his house after more than a week’s hospitalization.
This is where we meet in Pacita Complex. It is the kitchen & dining room of a member of the church which we use as meeting place on Sundays. See the attached pictures.
Baptism...One happy moment we have here because sister Renaliza Deang accepted Christ through baptism on September 10, 2006 at Villalim’s swimming pool. She used to be one of my students when I was teaching in Muntinlupa Polytechnic College. She is 25 years old lady who works in an advertising company. Right now she is the only Christian in her family, some of her brothers and sisters are member of other denomination and her fathers is a catholic, we pray and are looking forward into having Bible studies with her family soon.

Wedding...Another happy event in young people’s life is getting married. Bro. Ronald Allan Padua and Sis. Emma Domingo exchange vows last September 16, 2006 at Malakha resort in San Pedro Laguna 2PM. It was a very simple wedding attended by their relatives and close friends but you can see their happiness in their big smiles. Ronald is an engineer working in semicon company Amcor Anam, while Emma used to work in that same company as an operator but has decided to take a break for their wedding. We pray for their marriage to be successful for the glory of God.

Sad event on September 28, we were hit by a super typhoon, it was very strong that Metro Manila was black out no electricity, water and telephone lines were down, streets were flooded, thousand families have either lost their houses or their houses were badly damages, Many big trees were uprooted. In fact in Muntinlupa we have no water and electricity for 6 straight days, mobile phones were usable only till the batteries run out, we don’t have electricity to charge our batteries, some establishments with generators really enjoys it. At this time of my writing some places in metro manila have no electricity but the major areas have been fully restored and back to normal business. In the provinces of Luzon specially in southern part, many places still don’t have electricity because they still have to raise those fallen electrical post, it may take a little longer, however the good thing is they will be changed by new and durable post which will last for a long time.

Another sad thing, my mother who was operated last year with kidney problem has been hospitalized again last September 25 still with that same kidney problem, she was hospitalized for 5 days and my dad and mom decided to go out of the hospital for a number of reasons and one of them is financial, the medical expenses in just a few days is already 35 thousand pesos, we could only help very little because we don’t have much in fact we barely have enough, I wish I am rich so that I can be of help financially. My dad had been a gospel preacher all his life, receives little support and no medical insurance of course just like many local gospel preachers here in the Philippines they wanted also to have such insurances in preparation when they grow old its just that they don’t have the money to pay for it. This incident actually makes me think about our own situation, no insurances in preparation for old age if ever the lord allows me to live long life, its not that we don’t like it but simply we cannot afford it. Right now my mom is at home and we hope and pray that the medicine she is taking would be right to heal her sickness. When we went to Bicol to visit them, along the way we see the effects of typhoon Milenyo, and when we get there and stay for a few days, there was not electricity we were using candle lights, however before we left for Muntinlupa about 80 percent of electrical supply in Daet has been restored.

The van that I am using in our Bible studies and church activities has been needing maintenance for a long time but I don’t have the budget for it, now its injection pump, battery and tires needs replacement, I guess we just have to keep using it until its not usable, the good thing is that in spite of these minor difficulties our congregation in Muntinlupa is doing good with God’s blessings, we just try to do what pleases Him with the hope in our heart that He will always be with us, be protected by His mighty hand and we will all be with Him in due time in His heavenly kingdom.

The Lord is using you to inspire us in many ways to keep us going, thank you and may our Great God continue to bless you always.

In His service,
Greg Q. Gallardo, Jr.
