The youth have started for summer the “Park Ministry”, where they go to the park near NBP compound every Saturday afternoon play and invite young people in the park for Bible Correspondence Course or Home Bible Studies and if they are available to visit Church’s Sunday services.

April 21, I officiated the wedding of Myra De luna and Dino Morales at Eastwood City. Myra is a member of the Cubao Church of Christ she works in NFA while her husband Dino is engaged in business. The wedding was attended by family members of both parties and members of the Church. Sonny, Nancy, Danny, Raj were also present in the wedding. See the wedding pictures.

April 22, we were invited in Daet, Camarines Norte, on their 21st Annual Fellowship. The preacher there is Bro. Gregorio G. Gallardo, Sr. my father who has been preaching the Word of God since I was a child in different places in Luzon; he is now 74 years old. It was attended by brethren from Dagang, Macogon and Naga City. Christians who lived quite far from Daet like Macogon and Dagang was a truck load, so that they can save for transportation. See the pictures of the truck filed with people. The young people are very energetic with their games and Bible quizzes which was conducted by Charles our second child. I am surprised to see that there are so many children in Macogon now, see the picture. The fellowship was concluded with a closing prayer 3PM and the Christian families went home strengthened in their faith and happy to meet brethren from different places.

Then in the morning, we went to Mananap Resort in San Vicente, to witness Bro. Greg Gallardo Sr. baptizing 7 young people. 3 young men and 4 young ladies: John Anthony, Philip Jester, Leonard, Jeah Pauline, Nouelle Joy, Euna Anne and Leniel Anne. Please see pictures of baptism.

April 24-27, is the National Ladies Retreat in Baguio City. The retreat was held in Asin, Nangalisan, Tuba, Benguet, at WaterViewPark Resort. This was owned by a Christian in Midtown CofC. It has 6 pools, one small pool is filled with hot spring and there is also a mini zoo. It was attended by about 400 Ladies nation wide. They have 8 excellent speakers, 6 from the Philippines 1 from Singapore and 1 from Texas, USA. The joy of the ladies who attended were radiating, you can clearly see it in their faces. The venue was excellent, and the accommodation was good, the food also was cooked the Filipino way always with fresh vegetables. Their Physical and spiritual bodies were nourished and they are excited to share what they have experienced and learned at the retreat. The tour on the last day was enjoyable; they visited the Wright Park for horseback riding, The Mansion, where the President and his Cabinet members held their conference in Baguio City, Camp John Hay and PMA. Please see the pictures on the NLR.

In His service,
Greg

Batangas church of Christ Update:

Dear brethren.
Greetings from the Philippines.

With the blessings of God, the work of the church in Batangas area has been doing well. With the cooperation of some brethren from Rosario, Lipa and Sampaguita congregations, many activities were being conducted such as vacation bible studies (VBS) and door knocking. So far more than 40 students were able to graduate in VBS are more bible studies are scheduled as a result of our door knocking. Three souls were baptized in Rosario and we expect more to come as we continue to study with other prospects. We have a regular bible study to a group of ladies every monday, wednesdays, and on every friday night. Saturdays were alloted to a group of young people in Sampaguita. I am working hand in hand with Brother Jules. If we have no schedules, we make it a point to do some door knocking to enroll more students in WBS and make appointments to those who are interested in bible studies.
With the help of God, we might be starting another congregation soon in another town as there are already members there who are quite far from Rosario and cannot worship regularly. This is part of the plan to evangelize the whole province of Batangas. Some brethren from Metro Manila had expressed their intentions to help in conducting services during sundays.
Please continue praying for us and the work here.
May God continue to bless us all.

Moises

Cubao church of Christ Update:

It’s another second Saturday of the month, the brethren around Metro Manila gathered once more to help one another in convincing and encouraging people to study the Word of God. They all went to Makati Church of Christ to conduct a house-to-house campaign for Christ. The brethren overcome the blazing heat of the sun went out, talk to all people they met about the Word of God and invited them to attend every Sunday and study the Bible on their free time. There are soul’s shows interests to study the Bible and the brethren of Makati will visit those souls on their regular visitation program.
In the afternoon after the campaign and lunch fellowship provided by the host congregation, the young people go out again to distribute leaflets while the leaders of different congregations have their monthly meeting. They discuss the upcoming activities this May (The Preachers/leaders retreat) and the December activity (The N.E.W.S.) The leaders also agreed to continue their book review study every last Saturday of the month. They ended the meeting by praising God in prayer and supplication.

Campaign:

In Cubao Church of Christ at Project 3, Q.C., the brethren continue to share the Word of God by doing door knocking evangelism, Jeepney evangelism and mailing evangelism at the same time. The brethren were divided into three groups they went out with hope that more souls will study the Word of God.

Group Bible Study:

Two new groups of Bible study was conducted by brother Danni at Burgos Pangilinan compound near at the vicinity of Marikina Church of Christ. The Bible study was held every Wednesday and Friday. Sis Aimee who resides in that area invited her neighbors on Friday group while on Wednesday Shela student of brother Danni invited her neighbors on Wednesday group. It was good to teach the Word of God since majority of those who are listening is interested. Some of them also attend the Sunday worship regularly.

Home Bible Study:

Home Bible study was set up by brother Danni and brother Steve at Marikina. Three souls were eager to learn more about the good news in the Bible. They encourage the students to invite more of their friends to join the Bible study every Thursday morning.

Book Review:

The preachers around Metro Manila gathered together to enhance their knowledge about the Word of God. They studied together about the names of God and Baptism, which name? Brother Conrado Mapalo and Brother Bert Tupas are the lecturers. The event was held at Metro Manila Church of Christ chapel in Quezon City.

Wichita, Kansas Update:

We opened up our home for 2 Fridays to have a Bible study with some of the Filipinos who are willing to study the Bible. We will set up an individual study for those who want to continue doing it this summer. It was a blessing that Gabriel Yankey agreed to lead the study. Please pray that the students will open up their hearts in putting Christ in their lives.
