Cubao and Marikina churches Update:
The Church in Cubao and in Marikina worked together in showing how the true servants of God serve the Lord with cleanliness physically and spiritually.

One of the happiest moments in the life of the father in prodigal son when his son went back to him. Last October 1 it was Danni's turn to feel that way when his only son, IDANN DE VERA told him that he wants to be baptized. Brother Danni was rejoicing upon immersing his son in water and he knew that the Father in heaven as well as thousands of angels were rejoicing. The brethren in Cubao and in Marikina praise God for this wonderful event in brother Danni’s life. They all shared happiness by singing praises to the Lord and thanksgiving in prayer.

Metrowide campaign…
The Taguig Church of Christ is this month's host for the Metrowide campaign held by churches of Christ around Metro Manila in order to promote unity among brethren in the mission of our Lord Jesus. The brethren held this monthly activity to help one another to propagate the Kingdom of our Lord Jesus. They invite people to have home Bible studies and enroll them to a Tagalog or English correspondence Bible lesson.
The brethren praise God over one soul who repented and obeyed God in baptism. Brother Akiles of Taguig baptized his student after the door knocking campaign. The church leaders also held their monthly meeting to discuss plans, activities for the churches of Christ and helping one another grow physically and spiritually. The leaders discussed the new format of radio program "Si Jesus ang Daan" (Jesus is the way) and how to encourage the brethren to support it financially. Brother Danni was assigned as chairman of collection committee for radio program. He was asked by the leaders to create a system on how the collections will work. They also discussed the National Evangelism Workshop Seminar this coming December 8 & 9. They agreed to send invitation by the first and third week of November Nationwide. The leaders also agreed to give the congregational support on or before the next meeting. They all agreed to help one another so that this nationwide seminar will benefit each congregation to enhance the programs and lessons of evangelism in the Philippines. The next meeting will be at Caloocan Church of Christ.
BIBLe STUDIES…
Brother Danni started teaching the Teens Bible study in Marikina chapel every Saturday at 1 p.m. before the IBS class at 3 p.m. There are eleven teens willing to know more on God’s Word. Brother Steve and sister Ging held the kids class also every Saturday.
CAMPUS Campaign…
Brother Danni, Steve and Joel went to Marikina College/High School and encouraged the students to study the Bible through home and correspondence lesson. It was a part of the program by the three brothers in bringing the youth closer to God. They also introduced the tagalog lesson created by brother Danni.
LINIS, GANDA PROGRAM…
The brethren in Marikina held their civic action program around the neighborhood of Marikina Church of Christ in Friendly village. They went out the chapel armed with broomstick and dust pan to sweep the streets around the village as well as the basketball court in order to show that the servants of God are really friendly and willing to serve. As they sweep the streets they also distributed leaflets inviting the neighbors to attend Sunday services. The kids also joined in doing the work and the happy faces continue to shine in each one of them under the scorching heat of the sun.
THANKSGIVING…
The brethren give thanks to the Lord for the second son of Brother Richard and Sister Catherine, who was born last August. They sang praises and offered prayer of thanksgiving to God.
Annual practical Christianity seminar…
The Manila Church of Christ held their annual Christianity seminar last October 31 & November 1. The theme this year was "PAGBABALIK TANAW" (Looking Beyond). The workers of Cubao and Marikina attended the two days seminar which discuss about the book of Peter. Brother Bob Buchanan, Felix Bravo, Ken Wilkey were the guest speakers. There was also a group inter action discussion every after lectures.

Muntinlupa Church of Christ Update: Please continue to include us in your prayer as we are planning to make some improvement in our young people’s activities so that they will be more active in the church. We don’t have youth minister so we help them plan for their activities. The youth have elected their leaders and had planned to continue their regular activities on Sunday afternoon like practice singing on four voices, teaching children and lords table for the ladies because we have divided the children to their age levels on Sunday morning. Leading Bible studies, song leading and delivering sermons for the young men. We also encourage them to invite their friends to join these activities to influence them to Christ. Then they go to the park to get to know each other more and enjoy each others company. We hope that this will develop them to be strong Christians and be of help in the church’s growth.

We are focusing more on Home Bible studies through reference from the members of the church and the campus ministry. Please see some of the picture of our Bible Study program.

I am happy to inform you that Charles Ray Gallardo, the second among our three children, 17 years old, who is studying full time in Philippine Bible College taking Associate in Theology speaks for the first time in the pulpit last October 15, which happen to be my birthday. He talks about the Potter and the Clay, God being the potter and Christians like clay in the hands of God. He hopes to finish this course then continue his studies in Computer.

The youngest among our three children Michael Gallardo, 16 years old who is studying Political Science at Saint Louis University in Baguio City and at the same time a part time student taking Associate in Theology in Philippine Bible College spent his semestral break here in Mutinlupa and delivered his first Sunday message on October 22 which coincidentally happen to be their mother’s birthday (Fe). He discussed about Staying Focus in Christ for Church Growth. Charles Ray and Michael are now back to school for the second semester classes.

My mother Josefina Gallardo who is suffering from kidney, urinal bladder and acute gout is still bed ridden. Aside from the medical expenses, she needs a wheel chair so we could move her outside to at least ease the pain of her sickness. We would appreciate if you could donate a little to buy her a wheelchair and her maintenance medicine. Right now we are working on requirement of the hospital so that she could avail of the Social Services so she could have discount on medicine and laboratories. Next week the Doctor on Cardio Vascular unit of NKTI will decide after we have submitted to her the results of the laboratories if she is ready for the operation. Any amount you could donate for her medical expenses will be highly appreciated.

God has open doors for us to show our faith to him in whatever circumstances we are in, He has given us the opportunities to do good to our fellow Christian in the name of Christ. Let us not be weary doing good for in due time we will reap what we have sown. God bless you all.

In His Service,
Greg Q. Gallardo Jr. Wichita, Kansas Update: We started a Bible study for Filipinos here in Wichita on November 3rd. These are mostly Filipino teachers that have been hired here in Wichita at the beginning of the school year. They were assigned in different schools in USD 259 to fill positions that are hard to fill. Northside church has been helpful in helping them out with their needs like furniture, clothing, etc. They are so happy to have Filipinos around to welcome them here. We want them to feel at home since it is their first experience with the weather and the culture. With the help of Mickey Saffell, member of Central church, and Gabriel Yankey, member of Northside church, the Bible study is really lively. Mickey is an excellent teacher! She uses a lot of visual aids which are very helpful and very informative. We are studying the timeline from Adam to the coming of Christ. We will be studying about the gospel soon. Gabriel has been so helpful in answering questions and teaching them as well. They are so willing to study about the Bible. Please pray for this effort. We can only plant the seed and let the Lord water it.
