Philippine Mission Sale Finally Over (Wichita Update): The garage sale for Philippine Mission is finally over. It was held on Sept. 7-9, 2006. It was a huge success! The Lord blessed us with good weather, hardworking volunteers, and many buyers. We made $5,300.00 toward this cause. The Lord is continually blessing us as we continue to spread the gospel in the Philippines. We started working on this project 3 months ago. Volunteers worked hard to prepare for the sale. We collected a lot of "stuff" that we sorted, arranged and priced. We were blessed with good weather on the 3-day sale that we had. It rained a little bit on the last day but not for long and people just kept coming and buying. Thank you so much to those who were involved on this project. We will now start planning for next year's mission trip. Our God is an awesome God! We give Him all the glory and honor for being so good to us. Please continue to pray as we give the proceeds to the hardworking evangelists who are tirelessly spreading the Word of God and those in need of the funds toward this ministry.
Cubao Church of Christ Update: Hospital Visitation: "I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me." (Matt. 25:40, NIV) Last August 27, the Cubao and Marikina brethren held their annual hospital visitation at National Children’s Hospital in Quezon City. This is the hospital for children needs chemotherapy, blood transfusion, those have been afflicted by acute lungs problem.

The brethren distributed toys and goodies to more than 100 kids and encouraged the parents to study the Bible and have a little prayer for their kids. It was really a hard to see the little children suffering with acute diseases under chemotherapy and operations on their small physical bodies. Tears flow upon seeing a baby Gerald isolated in one room due to acute blood and lungs diseases (sad to say baby Gerald died last Saturday morning). The brethren also decided to have financial contribution for one patient who badly needs chemotherapy.
They prayed in one accord before leaving the hospital that GOD will touch the lives of those kids as well as their parents.
Campaigns for Christ: Another monthly Metro wide door knocking house-to-house campaign was held in Lagro, Quezon City. This month campaign was hosted by the brethren in Lagro under the leadership of Brother Willie Franco. The brethren were divided into five groups and went on different areas to seek and encourage the lost to study the Word of God. This kind of activity brings the children of God not only in unity but closer to one another and to Him. There are sixty precious souls enrolled in correspondence courses after two hours campaign.
In the afternoon, the preachers and leaders have their monthly meeting and they discussed the evaluation of door knocking campaign every month. They all agreed that the host congregation will assign a teacher for the youth and teach the hows of evangelism approach. In preparation for another radio program, brother Randy prepared a one year program for the radio Bible class wherein all the ministers for every congregation has its own participation in teaching the word of God. The leaders agreed to encourage their respective congregation to support the radio ministry financially. Brother Danni suggested that the leaders should encourage every single brothers/sisters by pledging P5.00 (five pesos) every Sunday for the radio ministry. They all agreed to the idea in order to have a constant financial support coming from the brethren. The leaders also discussed the proposed program for this year N.E.W.S. (National Evangelism Workshop Seminar). The NEWS will be held this coming December in order to help all the brethren to bring the Body of Christ in a higher level. May our God bless us all as we continue working together in bringing the Lord’s Church in a higher level. Muntinlupa Church of Christ Update: Every first Sunday of the month, after the Sunday morning service we greet the Birthday and wedding anniversary celebrants with a song. Sarah the oldest among our 3 children visiting us, she is now 3rd year college in Nursing, we hope and pray that she could finish her course on time. Bro. Juan Gutierez’ baptism about 10 in the morning were witnessed by his wife and 3 children. Bro. Juan is a tricyle driver while his wife takes care of their 3 children who are all elementary students.

While we are baptizing bro. Juan Gutierez, Grace Serapio my niece is being operated in Our Lady of Peace Hospital in Las PiƱas Metro Manila, the surgeon works on reconstruction of her cleft palate. Right after baptism we went to visit her in the hospital. As you can see in the picture, Grace who just turned 2 years old had her operation and would not want to lie down in bed when she was already conscious and just want to be cuddled just like the other children in the hospital. With God’s blessings she is doing OK and is fast recovering.

As you can see, just like other gospel preachers we fit our Bible Studies time on the availability of Bible students, so that every Sunday I have schedule of Bible study with this girl Liza and her boyfriend Mar. Mar is already a Christian, he was one of my students in college before who had come to accept the Lord as their savior. Next to it is me preaching about Christ as Lord of Christians.

I am leading the Sunday Bible Studies for the adult in Muntinlupa while I requested bro Joe Lazar to handle the young people. I preach for the whole month in Pacita which is an outreach of Muntinlupa and in our midweek services also. Then deliver messages in Muntinlupa every first Sunday of the month and requested those who are now able to preach on other Sundays.
