Padua has been studying with us the scripture for 5 months now, he is an Electrical engineer working in Amkor Anam Philippines. Though he is the only Christian in his family, we hope to reach out for his immediate relatives.

Cubao/Marikina Churches of Christ Update:

The Cubao hosted the monthly Campaign for Christ last June 10. Brethren around Metro Manila attended the monthly activity done by Churches of Christ in Metro Manila in order to promote unity among brethren and helping one another to seek and save the lost. The brethren were divided into six groups and went on to their target streets to do a house-to-house campaign heralding the Church of Christ in Palosapis street and inviting the people to enroll at free home or correspondence Bible lessons.
After being on the streets for more than three hours more people enrolled for the free Bible lessons. The worker of Cubao Church will visit and bring the introductory Bible lessons to all enrollees.
Metro wide preachers meeting…
The leaders of Churches of Christ also held their monthly meeting to discuss all the needs of every congregation when it comes to evangelism. They always discuss the results of every campaign in different places and look for more improvements on how to reach the lost souls. Each leader gives their suggestions on what are the best things to do and suggests more ideas for helping one another.
During their meeting they again discussed the upcoming activities of the Church. Brother Jun Patricio announced he was invited to be the lecturer for practical evangelism workshop on July 22 at Cubao Church. Bro. Danni talked about the next Metrowide Singing Fellowship and the new development about the National Bilibid Prison Church in Muntinlupa. The leaders also made another plan for airing the radio program in next few months. They encouraged one another to support the radio program not only in manpower but also in financial needs. They encouraged one another to seek the help of some fortunate brethren.
The next campaign and leaders meeting will be in July at Pasig Centennial Church of Christ.
OVERNIGHT PRAYER & DEVOTION…
The power and privilege of prayer is so important to all children of God. The Cubao held their quarterly overnight prayer and devotion last June 16. The theme of the activity is "Serving With Your Whole Heart". The brethren have a group discussion after the devotion. It was a blessing to all of us that we have the privilege to call upon the Mighty name of God in prayer. The brethren believe the power of prayer is so great for their spiritual growth and for their service in the kingdom of God.
"I-Text mo…tanggap mo"…
Another work of the brethren is "I-Text mo…Tanggap mo.." (Text it and you will receive it) was held in Marikina City last June 24, Saturday afternoon. This is one of the methods of evangelism in order to reach out the lost through SMS. The One Mind group of Friendship Road Church of Christ went to busy streets and main roads distributing the flyers inside the market and to jeepney passengers. One of the texters was able to follow up by brother Danni and she was able to attend the worship service the next day. She also decided to study the Bible during her free time together with her friend.
After the hard work under the scorching heat of the sun, the One Mind group have their fellowship and singing at the chapel. They gave thanks before parting their ways.
