Philippine Missions Garage Sale A Success ...
The 5th Annual Philippine Missions Sale on Sept. 6-8, 2007 is a success! The 3 months of hard work of volunteers in preparing for this effort finally paid off. Many people donated their items, helped in sorting, pricing, and organizing the sale. With God's blessings we made $6,000 toward the workers for Christ in the Philippines, the Tutorial Class' teacher and needs, Manila School of Evangelism students' needs, and those that have physical needs in the Metro Manila areas. We thank all those who gave their services and time before, during, and after the sale. This is a great effort and we can't do it without you. There are just so many people who made this sale possible. God's blessings be with you all as you continue to serve a risen God through your gifts of service.

Visitors from the Philippines:
We are blessed to have evangelists and workers from the Philippines that the ministry is supporting visit us here in Wichita. We are so happy to see them and hope some of you met them while they were here.
Greg Gallardo, a preacher from Muntinlupa church of Christ came on Sept 4-7, 2007. He came to visit his cousin and some friends from Virginia Tennessee, and Florida. He arrived in August. We invited him over to see the work that we do here in this area and he was in time to help prepare for the garage sale. It was so nice to visit with him. Also on Thursday, during the garage sale, Peter Cariaga, a missionary kid (Salvador is his father who is a long time missionary in Cebu City, Philippines) came over to visit with Greg and at the same time helped with the sale.

On September 14-16, Felipe Cariaga and his wife, Clarita from Manila School of Evangelism, Philippines (the ministry supports some of the food needs of the students) came over to visit with us here and talked at Poplar Avenue church of Christ. We got the privilege to visit more with them and talked more of the great ministry they have in the Manila area.
